Electrical Tools
seem to remember hearing that rechargeable drills from the UK will not charge up properly on Thassos (either take forever to charge or will not charge at all) but wanted to double check I am sure one of you adopted Thassians will know the answer. 40 days to go and we are back again and we cant wait, what I would do without my daily fix of this site I don't know. I even watch the You Tube clips of Thassos when I get hacked off at work!!!! Dreaming of the day we move there for ever

Electrical rechargeable power tools
no major problems until you have been here & recharged your tools for 2 yrs then they do not hold their charge as previous.Biggest problem is with mobile phones after about 6 months they decay rapidly after 2 days again dependant on use,if used in Theologos less of a problem cos voltage remains fairly constant at around 230vac ,Potos can be a problem with 3ph supplies where ph to neutral can be as low as 186vac,best option for recharging mobile phones & power tools is a cvt which will give a 240vac power output regardless of input voltage (talk to Potos cars at Astris ie Jeff they have 1 installed)
Electrical Tools
I am amazed that Richardo as a Thassos Newbie & never been here before knows so much about the power systems on Thassos but i am reliably informed that his information is very accurate,is this a wind up ??

Hi
We have been living here for just over 2 years and my husband being a carpenter (or should I say bench joiner) brought all his tools from England, including battery charged drills and his transformer and he has usesd them regularly nearly every day and he has not had any problems with charging, I have also got my English mobile over here and that is ok.
see ya
