Moderator: gemibihi
Hi Jim,
We have had loads of holidays in Turkey on this type of boat where it is Known as a Gulet, in Greece they are known as a Caique ,but I believe the generic term for this type of boat is Ketch.( I am probably wrong but who cares as long as they stay afloat)
Ha ha me heartys!!!
Aldo
P.S. I notice this one is flying the Turkish Flag so it is definitely a Gulet

Hi Lynne,
It is flying the small Greek flag From the mast as a matter of courtesy, the flag at the stern ( or to give its technical term the blunty end ) is the country where it is registered.
As I said previously we've had 9 or 10 hloidays on these boats before and whenever you visited a Greek island you always raised the Greek flag as a courtesy.
