Thought I would submit some recent shots and try to show different views of the Island. Now how many of you have passed by this mural on the side of a taverna in Scala Potamia. I was thinking that if I had toooo many beers I might end up with a broken nose trying to enter this place. LOL Ron.

I know this is a standard beach/deckchair view but what makes this unique there is more fag-ends and cotton seeds than there is sand. Taken on Golden beach last week. What hasnt shown up is the thousands of ground hovering wasps. But we all know they were there dont we ? Ron.

Now look close at this one. You will see this plonker with an umbrella just returning from bathing in the sea. Now he had this umbrella covering him even when he was in the water. This was taken during the storm last week. I can only presume he didn't want to get too wet whilst he was in the water. Nowt so queer as folk ?

Its card collecting time again. Here are just a few aquired on ones tours. It seem like most busineses have them. I expect you will have some stashed away somewhere. Ron.

Now this caught my eye and got me thinking this must be the smallest taverna dining veranda in the whole world. Be careful how you lean. A bit too far to the left and into the sea. to the right and right into the path of the traffic. Ron.

I know this shot must have been taken hundreds of times by others but I thought I would give it the classical look. You know, lonely bloke looking out to sea dreaming of what lies beyond the far horizon stuff. Get rid of the umbrella and add a couple of tall masted sailing ships gliding by and there you have. A masterpiece Ronald Da Vinci.

The side view of the Vigli. Now most folks take their shots from the Vigli. I thought I would be different. Still makes a great view though. I was going to entitle this shot as "The Vigli where you can dine with a view but beware at night the mosquitoes dine on you. Ron.

NATURE IS VERY CLEVER AND VERY ADVANCED IN THASSOS . LOOK AT THIS ASH TRAY FACILITY PROVIDED BY A SIMPLE TREE FOR THE PUNTERS AT GOLDEN BEACH AS SEEN TWO DAYS AGO.

Now how on earth do these trees manage to grow on solid rock and not only that ,think of the weight supported by this overhang. must be a few tons that could come crashing down at any time. Ron.

Now do any of these statues, models, shapes or whatever you want to call them have a name .These you find dotted around the place. Some good,some bizzare and some outright baffling. Here is the first one. I presume this must be a Helen of Troy type person. Even Brittannia in a relaxedmood. Ron.
