Sorry for being so negative but Thassos is a shithole ! when compared to the other Greek isles that we have visited over the last 10 yrs that we have lived here !
Potos high st has been dug up both sides to make it single lane ?
every where you travel you see rubbish oveflowing from non emptied rubbish skips.Limenas the so called capital of the the island which is the the first sight most tourists see is around the port a building site !
Please unless you are a southerner compare Mythos beer with a proper UK beer.
























































romnon ied bins - road sides trimmed but cuttings left,Limenas the capital adjacent to ferry terminal has had road works closing the access road for 6 months.
Please do not compare Mythos beer with any decent tasting beer that is available in UK - unless you'e a southerner where you will drink nats piss !

Mythos is a lager beer which of course can't be compared to a UK brewed real ale....it's like comparing cola to lemonade.
And you can't blame Thassos for Mythos anyway, or is your problem with the whole of Greece now?!

THASSOS NUMBER ONE IN MY CHART

Walking along Golden Beach with the mountains to one side , the waves crashing to the other in the late afternoon with the sun starting to drop.

Also from Panagia the view down to Skala Potamia.

These are just a couple the plus examples to start the day and leading me to wish I was going again this year.

Others may wish to add their examples of why they think Thassos is number one.

However I am not 100% certain I would wish to live there, only about 99.9%.

Ah, yes... I will be there on Saturday and would offer you a shoulder to cry on, but - unlike you - I have only 20 days this year to spend on the island. Each one of them is too valuable, not just but also in terms of money, to be wasted.

do building works not go on everywhere on the planet to improve peoples lives? also repair whats already there. to say thassos is a shit hole because of one town is narrow minded and also ignorant. in any case why are you living on thassos is it is a shit hole.
