Cosmos/Monarch
Apparently Cosmos/Monarch are including Thassos in their 2014 brochures/schedule flying to Kavala. Let's hope that it gives Thomson the competition they need!!

Hi I have just returned from Thassos and Cosmos are going there next season, there will be a flight from Gatwick and Birmingham STILL nothing for the South West/Wales!!!!!!!!!!!!
The flights I have been told from Cosmos will be double drops Skiathos
/Kavala and they will not be using Thomsons flights.
It will be up on their website in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Daza
I don't think for one moment that they won't, especially if they are using their own aeroplanes, anyway we will be able to see in a couple of weeks when all the details are up on cosmos website.
Thassos is coming up on Cosmos/Monarch website and giving Limenas, Golden Beach, Limenaria & Potos as destinations no other details available at the moment.

I've had a peek and yes Thassos is there but (and maybe it's my pc but) the calendar doesn't seem to be working!!!- I can't select a date (even for non Thassos options). Anyway - it's still BHX and LGW so from here in sunny Nottingham there is no benefit airportwise. Just hope the prices sway me in their directioin then.

LGW & BHX is what I was told when I rang Cosmos, like you it's a pain living down yer in Devon, Bristol would be a good airport from the South West as it would serve all of the Westcountry and Wales, I meet a lot of folk from my area when I am on Thassos and I'm sure you would fill a flight.

Tigerlily hat geschrieben:This has been mentioned before and at one point holidays to Thassos from Bristol were on the website. I know because I saw them, but then they disappeared
Yes they were originally going to fly out of Bristol for 2014 but then changed their minds and put on a Thursday flight from Gatwick (if you try a one way flight from Kavala the website still comes up with Bristol as one of four airports in the uk) Have heard a whisper that Bristol is possibly going to be on for 2015.
I also see that cosmos has now listed some resorts & hotels on the island but no flight details or prices as of yet.

Tigerman, so basically we just need to keep watching for that Bristol flight to come up
I was having a nosey at the Cosmos website yesterday and noticed that some for of their flights (I'm not sure if this all) they use Small Planet airlines. This company has quite a bad reputation for having old aircraft and often having long delays.
