We're off again!! Need info!

Going back to Thassos on 28/10-05/11.

Can anyone tell me whether the buses run from Keramoti to Kavala on a Sunday and if not how much it costs to get a taxi from Keramoti to Kavala (Hotel Galaxy). We are travelling back from Thess on Monday 05/11 to Gatwick. At the moment there are no ferries running from Thassos , Skala Prinos to Kavala in November so we have booked into the Hotel Galaxy for Sunday 04/11. We need to go on the ferry from Limenas to Keramoti then get to Kavala.

Any ideas

As far as I know you'll have to take the bus to Chrissoupoli and from there to Kavala.
I guess a taxi from Keramoti to Kavala is about 30 euro.

I think i was told nearer 50 euros Keramoti - Kavala by taxi.

We are over on 9th and have e-mailed the ferry company re - November timetable. They replied that they are running and the new timetable will be posted at the end of this month. Hope that helps.

We haven't been in Oct - Nov before but went over in February so we've got an idea of what it's likely to be like. It's got to be better than here though!!! Worcester, Thassos, mmmmmmm let me think Hard decision, not.

Thassos is top of the charts without doubt,

However claire lives in a nice little City. Worcester is pretty good better than Bromsgrove and, nice to sit by the river with a beer.

believe it or not Two weeks ago it was actually sunny.

Claire please post photos on your return and let us know where you stayed . i'd love to try a visit to thassos out of the holiday season.

From Prinos: 7:15, 10:15, 12:15, 14:30
From Kavala: 9:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:15.

I always stay at The Galaxy when I am in Kavala and I love the refurbishment. Fabulous views over the port. Enjoy.

Well, we're back! Wow, that went quick. Too quick for my liking. We had a wonderful time and yes, photos will be posted ASAP Steve. Worcester is a nice city and we are lucky to live here but it doesn't beat Thassos I'm afraid. No contest. We have seen some places possibly available for long term rent in Skala Rahoni, Prinos and other areas. We will be going this time next year for 12 months if all goes to plan.

The Hotel Galaxy was great. The views over the harbour were to die for and the roof garden was breathtaking. We will certainly be staying there again. If you are on Thassos for any length of time it's almost worth having an overnighter in Kavala just to stay at the Galaxy. Remember to book on line though cus it's by far the cheapest way to do it.

No one told us about the taxi strike in Thess on 05/11. We found out about it when we got to Thess on the Kavala bus. Luckily we had time to hop on a bus to the airport.

Right, another year older on Sunday so time to hide under the duvet!!!
