Hello!

I need some help to find a route from Thessaloniki to Thassos on 06.09.
I arrive at the airport at 18.15.
I've read the topics and I understand I have to take a KTEL bus to Kavala. I hope to catch te buss at 19.00 if I take a taxi (then about 2 + 1/2 hours to Kavala.)
My biggest problem is that the last farry leavs at. 19.30.
So I have to go to Keramoti from where I have a farry at 22.30.
How can I go from Kavala to Keramoti from 21.30 to 22.30 or is there another way to go to the island after 21.30

Hi Bob,

The last ferry from Keramoti is at 22.00 I think.
I guess it will be very tight schedule to catch the 19.00 bus.
From Kavala to Keramoti you have to go by taxi. Don't know about the price but I think at least 30 euro.

Hi I arrive on the 6th in Thessaloniki but around about 11.30am. getting the bus outside the airport to Ktel bus station is fairly easy but at that time there will be a lot of traffic so give yourself an hour. a taxi is a bit expensive and is not much quicker to be honest. From the main ktel bus station it is just over 2 hours to Kavala. I think by bus from Kavala to keromoti you may just make the ferry. It should only take 45mins but it will be touch and go.

You catch the bus to Ktel station from outside the airport oors. Walk outside the doors and there is a small kiosk. Buy your ticket and jump on the bus Number 78. A taxi from the airport to Kavala is approx 1h 45m @ 191.00€


Thessaloniki Airport Bus to City Center

The airport is served by a 24-hour bus service from Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization.

On arrival at the Macedonia International Airport Terminal of Thessaloniki you can use the bus Line 78, route Airport – KTEL /central bus station, which goes directly to the city center. It takes up to 60 minutes and costs about 0.90 euro €. The buses leave every half hour. and stops at the train station as well.

Tickets can be purchased from the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) desks 07.00 – 21.00, or from the automatic vendors inside the bus.

My interest was to know how much is a taxi from the airport to the ktel station . If I go for the bus to take me from the airport to ktel station I will not catch the 19:oo bus to kavala. So it is imperative i have to take a taxi from the airport. Do you know how much is it?

I think it's about 20 Euros. That's what we paid in February anyway.

Yes, it's approx 20 euro's but always check thecost of the fare with the cab driver, that way he cannot change the price once agreed.

Definitely impossible. You need a helicopter.

The bus from Kavala to Keramoti needs 1 hour. From airport Macedonia to Ktel Bus station also 1 hour (there is a lot of chaos traffic).

You take the bus from Great Alexander airport to Chrissoupoli bus station and then change buses for Keramoti to the ferry port. The journey from Kavala to the Ferry port in Keramoti takes one hour and the ferry takes half an hour to Limenas .
