The must see place to see on Thassos ?

If you had friends visiting Thassos,what one place would you tell them to go to see above anywhere else and why?

Kastro, Panagia, the highest point, Aliki, Makrayammos etc etc

oh and the old harbour limenas, the ampitheatre, golden beach, pachis etc etc

Definitely Gerry - a must if you are staying in Limenas, our favourite base. A seat out the back there, sipping an ouzo and looking out to the open sea - bliss - and a lovely upstairs terrace to see the sunset with a nice view around the harbour and town in the evening.

Theologos - interesting developments up there when we visited earlier this year.

Panagia and Potamia - 2 inland villages easily reached from Limenas on the bus - a great way to get around the island particularly if you are based there.

Panagia and Aliki bay walking around the headland with all the old ruins.

Kekes Beach ! A lovely, quiet, unspoilt place with a fantastic taverna next to the sea. Between Aliki and the monastery Arhangelou. Don`t miss it

I always try to take the perfect view but fail. That means I have to keep returning to try again. Such hardship.

I have to keep going back in case they build another boat like this, the next one I would chronicle from the start - Mind you, that'd mean going back at least once a year.......
