Well I am off to Thassos again which will be my 32nd year there in Thassos. I wish you all a fab holiday.
Will be lurking around Pachis and Rachoni, staying at The Coral for the first time. Will be in Limenas for drinks and laughs. Say hello.

We are also excitited to go for our holiday tot thassos again, not for the 32st time as you but for the 8th time and its again as always very fine to have a feeling as coming home, a pity tough its only for 2 weeks but thats for later first we go within a few days, maybe we meet, you never know because the mythos in limenas is very nice.

Yeah, lets hook up for a drink.Where are you staying?I am staying in Rachoni at The Coral but will be in Limenas on Friday and Saturday night 18th and 19th June.I always spend my first two nights in Kavala and my last one with friends and people I worked with there. Still a few hours and then you go, hope you have a nice flight, the weather forcast is oke so the start of your holiday is good, lookout for a Rolling Stone tonque and when you see one then its maybe me, we are staying in limenas for 14 days, so maybe we toast with a nice cold MYTHOS, again have a good holiday at thassos.

1st time in 4 years that i have not visited the island ,i fell very much out of love with it last year due to a very aggresive european influx and opted for the seirra nevada mountains in spain to stay with friends this year and managed to witness the exact tranquility and peace that thassos first gave me all those years ago, i think it may be a long time before i revisit

Hi Ratty.......really sorry to see what you had to say about not going back to Thassos. Would it be okay for you to elaboate with some more detail as I hope it doesn't happen for me and my wife this August when we go to stay at Golden Beach.

I fear I might have some inkling of what you mean as we experienced some very noisy, rude and simply ignorant behaviour from some Eastern Europeans when we were there last in 2003, it stopped us going back to the beach where it happened......the local population didn't like it either!

Here's to it not happening again.

Unfortunatly you have hit the nail on the head, but don,t worry if your going to golden beach as my expieriences were based around potos and especially the alexandra beach hotel which in my opinion has severly deterioated over the years

dont class all eastern europeans as rude,most are well behaved and are welcome in thassos,they have as much right to a holiday as anyone else.there are also some ill behaved british that come to thassos,................putting the record straight/

It was not my intention to upset any particular group of holiday makers, so my apologies if I did.

And yes I also agree with you there are some English folk who are also very badly behaved (and I don't think I'm a snob)....my point is basically, why can't people behave with good manners and respect towards others, especially as we are all on holiday for two weeks or so that we have all looked forward to so much!
