Volker I was just curios as to where people liked to eat.The site you gave is in German and us English don't understand and I personally can't get the translate button to work from this site.
I thought the internationalsection was for all things in English.
It would be nice to understand

Hi Gardenia. I thought it was just me not using my translate button properly so glad to know its not! I too would like to be able to read all the recommended tavernas postings so hear hear!! In the guestbook somebody has written about Finikas, do you know where that is by any chance? We are staying in Skala Rahoni for the first time so any good restaurants would be appreciated.

between pachis beach and the end of skala rachoni direction prinos you will find a lot of very good tavernas.

for example pachis beach hotel, pefkospilia, pension elena (pls say, that you will come for dinner and give greetings from me), cafe kochili, costa's taverna (direct at the beach near cafe kochili - both are brothers), gekas (never been there), olga's place (not my favorite), vicky, lycos (the best in town), pizza valentino (on the main road opposite the big super market) and some more.

it's your taste, which you will prefer.

think you will not go hungry in the bed

zorbas in skala prinou .The staff are very friendly and the food is scrummy.And there are fans above the tables to keep you cool on those warm sultry Thassos evenings. Oh how i miss it

Hi, you must try Gorgona, Gekas, Pefkosilia, Gliferoni, there is another one which I hate to disclose because I don't want to spoil the peacefulness I find there on the beach but if you pm me I'll tell you. It does great food. I love Rachoni. There is also a beach bar which annoys me in the day because of the loud Techno music he plays but I love it there in the evening. Days are for chilling and the nights are for sounds.

Hello, Big Al. how was Thassos this year? I am going next Tuesday. The Big Tree always has done great food.

this can only be maikis from the sirens (i know him since he was a baby) or janis from watersports (old friend from me).

if you tell them, the music is to loud they are going to pull them down. don't worry about this.

Yiannis is okay although all those new hotels have spoilt it for me.

I always go to Yianni for the watersports and then to Xristo's reataurant in Rachoni village for dinner at least once. They usually have live bouzouki music on the pavement but didn't get there last year as I went to see Ilias in his new restaurant. He used to have Zorba's in Limenas but the Twins have it now.

The beach bar used to be called Ciao, probably still is. They used to play some really good stuff and early evening Tamela Mowtown greats. Sorry but very nostalgic for me. but now he blasts it out.

I am still a great fan of Nisteri where I spent most of my time when I was living there.

christos in agios georgios had in the past not a very well kitchen, as he spends his time more for building new houses than looking after his taverna.

yeah sometimes he makes some bouziki evenings for the tourists. we did not like it very much.

on the other side in rachoni near the church ist taverne drossia. in the summer time they have every saturday great bouzuki evenings until early in the morning.
