NEW: Translations-Feature available!

Hi,

we have a new feature in our forum: Translation. If you want to read one of the German posts, simply click the translation-button. Based on the translation engine of Google, a new windows pops up and brings you the English translation.

The Quality of the text is not really perfect. There isn't any translation engine available, that translates at the niveau of a natural speeker. But you should get an overview - and that is important!

thats great news. I,ve tried on many occasions to sit down with dictionary to translate but very time consuming..

By the way. I've found the Internet Cafe in Potos where I am currently sending this message from.

The owner says he knows you well and man at Cafe next to Boomerang bar...

Oh, it would be pleasure for me, if some engine could translate my
Finnish to German language. I really want to write in German
because it´s my better language, but not so good that
some engine could translate my funny words to English
So what to do now? Have I still courage to try German, even if
Google would get some problems with my post!! It´s strong to
come from some minority

But let´s see what´s happening

I keep trying the translation button on the post written in German but all i'm getting is a window appearing with no text in it. What am i doing wrong?

Guten tag mein freunden ....(dodgy schoolboy german from school tooo many years ago)...
if you want to translate simply open new window with explorer,
google "translate" cckick on google translate.
then select german from dropdown list in first box, make sure second box is english....
left click and hold mouse button at the start of text you wish to translate on the forum...then drag cursor to end of text..it should be highlighted in blue
next..right click and select copy
open google translate window ..then right click in box under "original text" select copy...then click translate option
i hope you understand this
you will then get an approximate translation in right side of screen

I am afraid you are not doing anything wrong the translation button doesnt work at the moment, sorry but if you want to translate anything you can try out the suggestion above.
