Ive just seen in todays Daily Mail that Greece is in the grip of a heatwave. Temparatures south of Athens 115 [ 46c]

I just wondered if Thassos was getting any of this ?

Its just that its like an autumn day here cool and cloudy

Yes we are getting it as well, the heat is (considering I love the sun) is unbearable, there is no breeze only hot air, but luckily it has cooled down a bit today and there is a nice warm wind, but the temps are due to go up again next week now where's the sea

Thanks Lynne I was just looking at the Greek online newspaper(Kathimerini) and they had reports of the fires over there.
There was one on Poros which brought back memories we stayed there a lot of years ago.

So you look after Thassos for us hopefully we shall get back again in the not too distant future

We found it pretty damned hot- made me giggle as we went in June so that I could avoid the worst of the heat!

When we left on Sunday it was 41 degrees, we were melting and looking foward to the breeze on the ferry journey back - alas it was a hot breeze.

Arrived at Gatwick to 15 degrees!!!!

It is ashock to be wearing trousers, socks and fleeces, compared to shorts and flip-flops last week.

Hot it maybe, but I know where I'd rather be

That's good news, I was worried that the good weather wouldn't stay hot long enough for me to get my holiday in!!
