Hi
Can anyone tell me if the Versa is a nice place to stay?
I know where it is & know there is a pool opposite.
Oggy i think you stayed there, would you recommend it?

Hi Gerry,

We were there in June 2005, Rooms are basic, not that big, hence us not going there this year with baby in tow!, but very clean, the owner was very nice and helpful.

Typical Thompson accommodation. It's OK as a base, some couples we spoke to go there every year.

You can get some road noise as it's not that far from the main road (small garden at front) if you are in any of the front rooms.

If you hire a car, it can be difficult to find somewhere to park close by.

We spent most of the time around the pool across the road where there were plenty of sunbeds and a reasonable poolside bar.

As (Blackdog) Mick Say's we seem to be regulars to the Versa
We find it suits us as we can tell you if Mick stays just up the road it's not so far for us to carry him back after a night of Ouzo
But to be honest we find it OK it is basic accommodation kept nice and clean and the owners are nice and friendly
It is a very good base to be with your favorite taverna Toxotis just down the road
And yes we would recommend the Versa to you
Just ask if you have any more questions
I see by the holiday calendar that your going to Thassos in May are you staying at the Versa then?

We first stayed at Versa studios 1993 1st time to Thassos, and again 1994.
They are in a good position not too far out of town, clean tidy appartments. Seem to be very popular with people we have spoken too.
In 1993 the road was still the main road, before ring road, all the marble wagons came past.
Still much quiter now appart from the moped GP!
Still looking ourselves and Versa could be an option for us.

Thanks for your replies everyone.
We are the latest victims of Thomas Cook, only got the cancellation letter yesterday after arguing with them for over a month & being reassured that the hol was still on. I have been in contact with ABTA & the consumer since the middle of jan so waiting for a reply from them as another holiday with another company will be more expensive.
Craftyman your mess is only the same as mine & probably many more. Nice pics.
Vince, i have met Mick & Tracy since your hols & he told me about his ouzo nights!!!!!

I have decided that life is too short & i will pay more than usual to "Go Home" for a week in May/June. hopefully at the Versa but need to see my boss on Monday for leave availability etc. Fingers crossed.!

Hi Gerry,

Babs and I have stayed at the Versa 3 times and have always found it more than just okay.

One tip though is to request Studio number 11 as at is the largest one and has a balcony front and back so if you leave the doors open you get a nice breeze coming through although at night we always shut the front windows because of traffic noise(it is double glazed and there is air conditioning.

Sula the owner is lovely and you will probably get homemade cake or rice pudding at least once during your stay.

Give our regards to Wanda and Paul when you go and say Hi to Liz too.

Hi everyone, I have bitten the bullet today & booked a week at Versa studios on 06/05/07 with my mum (rqd room 11 Aldo & Babs thanks for the advice) Still arguing the toss with TC but am looking forward to a quiet week in Springtime Thassos. Still hope to get 2 weeks Aug/Sept. I could write a book about TC the last few weeks!!! 11 weeks on Sunday!!! Whee hee!!
