I have been to many Greek Islands including Thassos twice.

I used to put up with ignorant people who ruined other people's meals in restaurants but now there are so many other places with smoking bans I won't be going back to Greece until smoking is banned.

I would like to see a smoking ban and it be extended to the beach


I must be unlucky because I haven't come across many considerate smokers, just a lot of selfish *****.

Managed to add the picture now - last night it was refused as too big but I slightly reduced the size and now it was accepted.

Yes that is the other book I saw.

It would be good if some people could post instructions for their own walks as there should be some good ones not in the main books.

The little beach is about 75 to 90 minutes into the coastal walk from Golden Beach to Thassos Town. It comes about 15 minutes before you pass through the marble quarry.

The hotel looked exactly the same this year as it did in 2003. We were told they had run out of money.

Walking always plays a large part of our holidays which is one reason why we like Thassos. This is the still unfinished hotel on the walk from Golden Beach to Thassos Town. It is a gorgeous little beach and would make a nice 'restoration' project
