We did that walk and got right up to the acropolis - but we made the mistake of doing it late morning, by the time we got to the top we were exhausted because it was so hot!

Pleased we did it though, it's a lovely walk, next time we'll do it earlier in the morning.

I had the mussel saganaki in Toxotis last week, I agree it was yummy.

I also love Staminata in Takis and Stifado in Mouses.

Just got back yesterday and had a wonderful time, there wasn't an in flight meal on the Newcastle flight, (we had a V after the flight number).

Babs - we took some sandwiches with us and ate them so there was nothing left for the seagulls, they repaid us with a deposit on Ron's shirt!!

I've been looking at XL website and it looks as if the in-flight meal is going stop in November for short haul flights, the letter V after your flight number indicates this.

I don't really mind either way - I just want to be prepared beforehand.

Has anyone just travelled with XL?

We are going on Friday and I've heared they have spopped providing an in-flight meal, does anyone know if this is correct?

I think it's the cost of air travel that has gone up.

We have 2 independant holidays booked for next year and while the accommodation is still very reasonable, the flights have gone up greatly both with XL and My Travel - but, if you want to go you have to pay!
