Hi Jim, We have had loads of holidays in Turkey on this type of boat where it is Known as a Gulet, in Greece they are known as a Caique ,but I believe the generic term for this type of boat is Ketch.( I am probably wrong but who cares as long as they stay afloat) :multi: Ha ha me heartys!!! Hi Gerry, I'm so glad you liked the Versa and that studio in particular,we stayed there the first time we went to Thassos and never saw any reason to stay anywhere else because it was so nice and Sula and the family were so friendly . :D Unfortunately the Versa doesn't appear in next years brochure ...

I have seen similar buildings in the mountains of Spain which were originally used for making and storing ice.

Parga and Naxos are also on our wish list of places to visit in Greece but so far we have visited Crete (twice),Rhodes, Symi (3 times),Kos (3 times),Zakynthos and of course Thassos (3 times so far).

Sorry,Ishould have known somebody would have taken Me to task for mentioning one of the best kept secrets of Limenas,but after we discovered it on our 3rd Trip to Thassos we couldn't keep away from it.

We used to bump into Gerry all the time there last year.

It has to be Karnagio at sunset, listening to chilled music , sipping an ice cold Mythos and checking the progress of the beautiful yacht being built there.

Hi Gerry, Babs and I have stayed at the Versa 3 times and have always found it more than just okay. One tip though is to request Studio number 11 as at is the largest one and has a balcony front and back so if you leave the doors open you get a nice breeze coming through although at night we always ...
