We will need to visit Ikea in Kavala in a couple of weeks. Just wondering if anyone knows how far from Kavala it is and how long it will take us when we get off the ferry in Keramoti. Also does anyone know of any other houseware stores either on Thassos or in Kavala. Thanks

Do you know Cath Atter, up at the Vigli in Golden Beach? She walks up there all the time in Aumn, Winter and Spring and has posted lots of pictures on Facebook. I think that the path starts in Panagia.The new pathways were put in place towards the end of last year.

Janet, I'd really like to know why you stay when you're clearly not happy there. Please explain.

You sound extremely sad and angry - I know a number of ex pats who live on the island and none of them seem as unhappy with the local way of life as you do, infact they have embraced the greek way of life (the good bits and the bad!) Maybe it would be better if you returned to the UK

I know it's quite a bit cheaper with Cosmos/Monarch, but the flight out to Thassos via Skiathos is soooo long - it seems like a waste of a whole day. On the plus side... at least it's some competition for Thomson!!
