I have been asked by a lady in England who already adopts a donkey there, to find out if there is something similar on Thassos, or nearby. I haven't heard of anywhere but I hoped someone from ACT or FOS might know? Or anyone else?

Does anyone know if there is a donkey sanctuary (or similar) either on Thassos or somewhere nearby on the mainland?

I'm sure you will love it here and have a wonderful honeymoon. As for the weather, prepare for hot! You may get the odd cooler evening so bring a shawl or something, but you are unlikely to need it. There could also be the odd shower, later in the month. Don't worry, we are talking short and sharp. ...

I can't off-hand think of anywhere like this on Thassos, but can you remember where you saw the photo? I ask because there is a poster in Kavala Airport rather like your description. Unfortunately it is a walk in the forest on the mainland, not Thassos.

It's only a guess... You are getting married, aren't you?! Or it's a big occasion. If you tell me where, I'll see if I can find out both about florists and photographers. I'm not so up on the Golden Beach area but I can ask round.

I can think of a few. There are 2 in Limenaria. One on the cross roads and one just off the main road, further up. (They have done us proud before.) There is another in Prinos, on the main road opposite the junction and at least one in Limena, near the square. I'm sure there are lots more. Hope this...

The ferry times vary month to month, getting more frequent as the high season approaches. For June there is a ferry leaving every hour on the hour. It depends when you are coming. if July, it will probably be more often. If September, less. I don't know what Thomsons do, but my guess is they collect...

Just remember with the Clarity card, you pay interest from the day of withdrawal. I just checked on the terms and conditons. They also say it is ilegal to put funds in, in advance, so you can't get round it that way. Not sure what Mastercard exchange rates are either, (M/C sets the Clarity card exch...

A favourite for us is to hire a small jeep and go on the dirt roads up into the mountains. Kastro, waterfall, Ipsario and wonderful views from there. Great fun!
